Sutton's Favorite Things

There's a few things that Sutton just can't get enough of. Sprite & mashed potatoes. He will kick and squirm immediately after eating mashed potatoes or drinking Sprite. I should mention that I can't get enough of them either. That was actually my ENTIRE dinner the other night. Other than that my cravings are still very sporadic. Besides his two favorites, I don't really crave things on a normal basis, they are different all the time. He;s kicking and squirming A LOT more lately. Much more active now, which I love!!! Well we're off to make some mashed potatoes every one have a great day :)

Nesting

So this nesting thing. A few weeks ago I started having these crazy instincts that I needed to clean, organize, and rearrange. They only came in short bursts and then I was immediately exhausted. J witnessed one about a week ago. I was sitting watching tv and all of the sudden felt a giant urge to clean the entertainment center. I cannot describe the feeling. I needed to do it or... or... or ELSE!!!! J literally looked at me like I was crazy, but from then on he now believes my nesting instincts 100%.

Here's the problem. Lately these "instincts" don't go away. They are not as strong, but it's just this constant feeling of needing to pick up, clean and organize. Emptying the trash, filling soap jars, laundry and always making sure the sheets are clean. (If they don't smell like Tide with Downy, they're NOT clean.) My cupboards have to be full, and my fridge constantly organized the right way. Last night I made chicken catchatori for dinner, and I WANTED to do all the dishes. Ask J how weird that is. I never cook AND clean. The counters must be clear of clutter, bed must be made and things scattered on the floor drive me crazy.

What is absolutely killing me is his bedroom. I wish I had a million dollars to go out and buy EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW!!!! If I did, you can rest assured that bedroom would be DONE by tonight. I want to wash and sort his clothes and blankets, put things away in his drawers, hang up pictures, and decorations. J keeps telling me to wait until the baby shower, THAT'S 84 DAYS AWAY!!!! "But honey, we have four more months to get things together." Excuse me? He obviously just doesn't understand. You mean ONLY four months!!!! Well needless to say, I'm dying to stretch this nesting instinct into preparing his bedroom. I just can't wait for him to be here!

Gotta run, the baseboards are calling my name. :)

Goldfish :)

When I found this layout I could not have been happier! When I first started feeling the baby move, J asked me what it felt like. I told him the best way I could explain it was that it felt like a little goldfish was swimming in my belly. From that moment on the nickname was born. Goldfish. This past Tuesday we found out that the goldfish swimming around down there is Sutton!!! We are so excited to be able to call him by his name, and start getting things ready for his arrival. I'm hoping this blog will help me pass the time as these next 19 weeks go by. I also am excited to be able to show this to him when he's older. For once there's so much to do and SO MUCH time to do it!!

J already has his room painted, and I have already bought enough clothes to last him a few months. The fun has defintely begun. We feel so blessed after all we have been through to finally be at this point. While we prepare and anxiously await his arrival we will use this blog to keep everyone updated. 19 weeks and counting :)
